Our Neighbors

Our Neighbors is a documentary series that captures the history, culture and pride of Memphis neighborhoods and residents who live there. This series openly assesses the challenges, change, and progress made toward making Memphis a more welcoming city for all.

Through this series, our production team will tour Memphis with fresh lens and updated perspective about Memphis’ past, present, and hopeful future, capturing anecdotal stories from multigenerational families, longtime residents, business owners, historians, civic leaders, neighborhood organizers, and many more. Thereby, offering audiences modern day insight into who we are, where we’re headed and how we’re going to get there.

We will also partner with local libraries, museums, universities, and cultural centers to ensure we are connecting important historical and timeline information to the more than 300 interviews we will conduct over the next nine to twelve months.
