After spending two decades working in the private sector, Lakethen decided to pursue his passion for the arts full time, capturing important moments through the camera lens. A long time enthusiast for the Memphis and Mid-South legacy and culture, Lakethen feels strongly about the need to develop homegrown stories that reflect humanity and the spirit of hope, transformation, and redemption. No stranger to the entertainment world, Lakethen continues to lend his talent and time as an independent songwriter, artist manager, event producer and all around promoter of Memphis.
As a founding member of Memphis FilmWorks lakethen and his team are hard at work building and hosting a catalog of documentaries, made for TV series, and live event programming that engage, empower, and connect along the lines of what maximizes our potential and minimizes our divide. It is Lakethen’s strong belief and favorite quote by philosopher Howard Thurman “ Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who come alive.” This has been his motto for building his own pathway to success and hopes to inspire others with this same belief.
